2004 | Foundation of CSUN as China Sunergy Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of China Electric Equipment Group (CEEG) |

2006 | Solar cell production reaches 192 MW making CSUN one of the world's leading photovoltaic companies. |
2007 | CSUN is successfully listed on NASDAQ stock exchange. CSUN’s partner company China Electric Equipment Group (CEEG) sets up its PV business by building two module plants. |
2008 | Establishment of CSUN’s European headquarters in Germany. Successful commercial production of selective emitter (SE) solar cells making CSUN a pioneer in this field. Cell production capacity reaches 320 MW. |
2010 | CSUN enters the solar module market by taking over CEEG’s two module production facilities. Cell production capacity reaches 400 MW, module production capacity is 480 MW. |
2011 | Establishment of CSUN’s US office. CSUN is listed among Deloitte’s Top 20 Chinese clean technology companies. Cell production capacity increases to 600 MW, module production capacity to 980 MW. |
2012 | CSUN signs a three-year strategic cooperation agreement with DuPont. CSUN signs a joint venture agreement with Turkish partner Seul Energy and sets up cell and module production in Istanbul. Cell production capacity grows to 1 GW, module production capacity to 1.2 GW. |
2013 | Official inauguration and start of mass production in the new factory in Istanbul. |
2014 | KSUN, a South Korea-based high efficiency solar cells plant started operation. |
2015 | Vietnam-based manufacturing facility started mess production of solar cells and modules. CSUN shipped accumulative of 4.0 GW of solar products. |
