Built to make a difference

CSUN provides the following high-efficiency mono- and polycrystalline modules:

  • QSAR I & II
  • WARATAH
  • Standard Mono Series
  • Standard Poly Series

New: QSAR II and WARATAH

QSAR II (monocrystalline) and WARATAH (polycrystalline) have five instead of three bus bars, which allows more efficient current collection and can also improve long term performance.

The QSAR II cells use a novel junction formation technology which is standard in semiconductor manufacturing. This allows for improved minority carrier lifetimes and a very tight distribution of cell performance in manufacturing. QSAR II cells are PID free and further increase the cell efficiency allowing to increase the average module power distribution.

WARATAH is our new series of high-efficiency polycrystalline modules. They have set a new record in polycrystalline cell conversion efficiency of 17.95%. WARATAH uses a special of carrier conduction technology to integrate solar cell and module design, increasing cell and module efficiency after encapsulation. WARATAH technology's unique design effectively decreases the defective rate during the metallization process, greatly beneficial to production control. Additionally, the unique structural design of the WARATAH technology decreases module power loss resulting from micro cracks during the course of usage.

Benefits

  • Higher module standards than those laid down by international certification institutes to ensure that our modules can be used effectively at any location
  • Resistance to ammonia and salt spray for use e.g. in coastal and farming areas
  • Hail-tested with a diameter of 25mm and an impact speed of 23m/s

Certified Quality

Our production lines are certified according to international quality and environment standards ISO 9001 and 14001. Our modules have been tested by all major quality and safety institutions and are certified for global use according to e.g. IEC 61216 & 61730, UL 1703 and MCS.

Module performance

The value of each solar module is determined by the power it produces during its use. CSUN's modules have demonstrated outstanding levels of performance in world-renowned laboratory tests as well as during their use in actual projects, providing customers with both high energy yields and excellent returns on their investments.

Power generation performance in "real life": 1.5 MW ground-mounted project, Jindrichuv Hradec, Czech Republic
This project uses CSUN's 210 Wp polycrystalline modules and was installed and connected to the power grid in November 2008. From February 2009 to December 2012, the AC electricity output of this project was 6.55 GWh, significantly higher than expected. Every kilowatt of modules generated 1092.1 kWh per year.
